What exactly defines a 'tween'? That intriguing transitional phase was the theme of this week's Spoonflower Design Challenge. Adding an unexpected twist, designs were previewed on a duvet cover. A bit of a setback for those petite patterns which often get overshadowed. However, this broad theme opened doors to a plethora of creative designs, offering immense variety.

The nostalgic vibe of Barbiecore inspiration dominated many designs, a reflection of pop culture's influence on young minds. When I dove deep into my memories, seeking to understand what 12-year-old me would have favored, the answer was clear: vibrant, bold colors and big design.

The standout design that resonated not only with my tween self but also with the adult in me was "Jumbo Groovy Daisies Hot Pink Barbiecore" by 3rittyanylane. A design that beautifully encapsulated the essence of youthful exuberance and zest.
