This week’s Spoonflower design challenge plunged us into the depths of "Crustacean Core." Yep, we got up close and personal with all sorts of crabs and lobsters. The tricky part? Standing out in a sea of crustaceans without just blending into the crowd.
And let me tell you, the designs really stepped it up this week! With so many entries, it all came down to the nitty-gritty details for me, especially when it came to the pattern repeats. I found myself getting a tad judgey, but can you blame me?
Among the tidal wave of talent, one design really caught my eye: “KF 0240B – Large 12” Vintage Ornate Crabs Retro 70s Geometric Floral” by khakifinch. This one's not just your average crab pattern. The abstract vibe lets you momentarily forget the crustacean theme and just soak in the beauty of the lines and shapes. The repeat? Absolutely on point.
